Notice to Applicants for Fall 2020 Entry (Updated Jan 3, 2020)

The WCVM will offer admission through two seat types for fall 2020 entry:

IPA (Interprovincial Agreement) Seats
Application Deadline: Dec 1, 2019 (now closed)

IPA seats, which are subsidized by the WCVM's provincial partners, are available to individuals who have met the WCVM residency requirements in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the northern territories.

Non-IPA (Non-Interprovincial Agreement) Seats
Application Deadline: Jan 31, 2020

Non-IPA seats are not subsidized by any provincial government. Tuition for these open seats is comparable to international veterinary school tuition rates (about $67,000/year). For details, visit the viewbook for non-IPA seats

Non-IPA seats are available to:

- Applicants who applied for fall 2020 entry by Dec. 1, 2019, and met the residency requirements. The WCVM Admissions Office will contact all applicants by email with instructions about how applicants can indicate their desire to be considered for a non-IPA seat.

- Individuals who meet the WCVM residency requirements in the province of Alberta are eligible to apply using the WCVM application available on this website by Jan. 31, 2020.

Please ensure you are familiar with all Application Requirements before submitting your application, as well as have read and understood The Essential Skills and Abilities required for the Study of Veterinary Medicine and the Rabies Immunization Policy (See Section VIII.A.).
